We take an early morning bus from Nairobi
to Mombasa. The bus breaks down.

| On the road to Mombasa: When the bus breaks down, Jose and I find shade under a grove of trees. From there, to pass the time, we venture out on little hikes examining the still life, meeting a local shepherd, and making a purchase from a local vendor as he walks by. |
"The sheep follow him for they know his voice," John 10:4. Jose and I witnessed something I've never seen before. The goats
had found a place where the fence along the highway had been broken down. Several of the goats eagerly and quickly made their
way towards the grass along the edge of the highway. I was fearful they might step onto the highway and infront of a passing truck.
The "shepherd" stepped out of nowhere and from a distance began to shout something in his tribal language. The goats, without
seeing him, only hearing him, immediately stopped dead in their tracks, turned a full 180 degress around, and returned through the
same whole in the fence to their proper grazing grounds. I was dumbfounded and immediately this verse came to mind: "My
sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me," John 10:27.
